HAPPY EARTH DAY! Be kind to our planet!
Well 4/20 was here and yes, it was a lot of fun! We went to Lansing. I had almost TOO much fun but it's all good.
Finals are done. I think I got a B+ in Scriptwriting, I probably got a B in Media 2, and I probably got a B in 16mm film.
Two Chez is edited, the sound sucked, I got a B+ on it, I can't beleive it! I should have gotten WAY better. My sound sucked but it sucked as bad as everyone elses, I don't get it. He had like 8 good comments and one bad comment, I think it's A material.
Ed and Derek are both staying here this summer. We are probably going to BLOW UP the car I bought from Aaron for $100 bucks.That's pretty cool, it should be fun. We need to work on a script now though, because I want the car out of Mark's garage by June at the latest. School is out, I need to find a job or two and get writing on that script. It's not so stressful because it's not for a grade, we're not even going to edit it for a while, we're going to edit it non-linear at some later point in time.
My initial thoughts are a day in the life of a really bad day. C'mon, if your car blew up, you would be PISSED! Another project to work on is for Noah and Darin. They want to cut something 40 minutes long from a script that Noah is working on. I wonder if that will happen, rumor is that Darin has already found distribution. I hope this pans out! I don't think I would call it a Tres Cojones production, maybe I'll use Mike and I's Four Too Oh Films It's not Tres Cojones unless it's either just me, just Ed or Ed and I.
I'm off to Marks in a bit, I guess it's my place, because I'm taking my shit there tonight. Sometimes it's my place, sometimes it's not, for now I will say it is until Mark gets sick of me. Then I'll go home for a bit and find somewhere to live here in the fall! (I hope) DROP ME A LINE , I'm bored now that I'm not busy.
Finals week is at an end. Actually my difficult week was last week!
Ed is in Chicago, hopefully sleeping and awaiting May 4th when he meets with Philbin and starts working on GVSU's Summer Film. J.H. Philbin is one of our many profs at GVSU.
Dan is downtown in Grand Rapids. He will be going up north for a bit with Mr. Patrick Murphy and hopefully doing some script writing while he's up there. I want to write about 20 minutes of 'before Two Chez' stuff and videotape it in a few weeks, let it sit on a shelf for a bit and edit it in CFV 380 next January. I need to re-do the audio for Two Chez anyways since it sucks and I might as well add more scenes. Two Chez pretty much sucked because due to NO AUDIO I had to cut out a lot of STORY. We'll fix it. I'll let you know when Two Chez - Special Edition is out. Kinda funny because it WILL be digitally enhanced. (CFV380 is a digital editing class.)
Ed wants to do a project this summer. Something he can edit at a later time. All we know so far is that we are going to blow up Stuart. (my piece of shit $100 car.) I think we should do a golfing movie. I just thought of that today. Ed probably won't like that idea.
Ok. Tonight Radiohead is playing in Chicago and I don't have tickets. How depressing is that?
We are still working on Two Chez. Darlene is out of town for part of this weekend so I can't do all that I want to do. I will work with her on Saturday, and hopefully if Mike calls me before it gets dark out we will do some shooting today.
School is getting hectic. I have 2 videos due on Tuesday and Wednesday, and on Monday (4/20) my 16mm film is due. House of Usher fell apart because my group did not work well together. We didn't work together at all pretty much, we were all about never calling each other back.
I'm not sure if I'm coming back to GVSU next fall. I don't know what I want to do. If I pay off my credit cards by July I am going to rack them up again in August because I want to go to London from August 7th-27th and then if I do come back for school hey, it's just in time. I think I will come back Winter 1999. I kinda just want to drop out and go to film school, but that would make OCC a waste of time and money, don't ya think?
